The floor squirms under my feet, the bathroom tiles crack, and when she jumps on the desk, yellow powder flies everywhere. I love to write about space, floating and always moving. I produce shapes as I write; by taking away from this space around me. Texts and shapes are written images. The colour: sky blue or pink sun, is itself closely related to questions of language – the sky has not always been blue. I attach great importance to my gestures: paper powdered with dry pastel, fabric shapes brushed with oily chalk… The boundary between my different mediums is thin: an edition is a coloured point in space, a sculpture is a drawing… The idea that language is in everything, textual, visual, sculptural or other, speaks and touches me.
Pictures by Léo Moisy and Chloé Malloggi. Publication picture taken with the help of Célia.
